JT Mitchell has been an equine professional since the early 1990's. After much success owning a business in his own hometown of Bloomington, Indiana, he ditched the corporate life to train horses. His first training jobs were up north in Illinois and Indiana, before moving to Arizona, Oregon and eventually to Owasso, Oklahoma where he settled and made a serious start on his own training business. He started dating his wife Katie in 2000 and continued on to a catapulting career as a halter horse trainer.

Since then, he has accumulated over 200 World & Congress Champions over several different breeds. He holds judges cards in APHA, AQHA & WCHA. He has held past cards in PtHA & PHBA. He has traveled to Australia, Brazil, Denmark & Mexico to judge shows and futurities. After a move to Pilot Point, TX, where he currently resides, his success continues each year earning more and more World & Congress titles adding to a record number of wins with each year's passing.
In his free time, he enjoys golfing with his buddies.

Katie Mitchell is a successful horsewoman that has been showing since 4 years old. She works as an Insurance agent and Licensed Realtor, while fitting weanlings for MSH. Her show career began as a toddler and progressed into a determined All-Arounder that won many Championships & awards in several different breeds in her Youth career. Winning her first World title @ 8 years old, she had the talent and drive to continue her show career as an Amateur, after a life break to attend college at Oklahoma State University. Her Amateur career has proved lucrative by winning World & Congress titles in Halter and Western Pleasure. She has followed her dreams by achieving World & Congress Championships at every major horse show in every breed she has shown.

On December 31, 2015, she ended her Amateur career after winning her ever elusive AQHA WORLD CHAMPION title. Her first Open year in 2016 secured her decision, by winning her first Open buckle in APHA Yearling Mares, while attaining two L2 AQHA World Champion trophies, and coaching her Youth to a Res World AQHYA Champion & Youth AQHA Congress Champion. In 2017, she made history by winning Breeder's Halter in Iowa with a colt she raised, winning at APHA World with a filly she raised, and winning her first OPEN AQHA Congress with a colt she bought for a client--that colt was an Appaloosa!! A marked win as that had never been achieved at AAQHC in the Halter discipline.
